In the morning we all got up and got dressed and headed to breakfast in the hotels lobby.

After we finished we all loaded our bags on the bus, and took a few pictures.

The Fellas:
The Ladies:
After that, we headed to New Direction Church. Well, we thought we were going to New Direction.  But, when we arrived it was at a tent like structure and it was the children’s campus.
We finally arrived 20min later to the “real” New Direction. I feel it was a great church. It was some thing,”new.” Their pastor was different from any pastor I know. He taught the word of God. But, he taught it in a way that caught the attention of my self and the other teens like none other. His name was Dr. Stacy L. Spencer. The church service was unique in its own way. All the singing and dancing was wonderful.

New Direction Church:

One thing I didn’t agree with was the church was large and felt more like a “club” not a “church.” Overall the sermon was great. Dr. Stacy preached on, “Being Different.” How it is good to be different, because Jesus was different and he died for our sins. His scripture came from John 21: 1-15.
Once church was over we ate lunch and changed clothes so that we could be comfortable for our drive to Dallas, Texas. Before we arrived in Dallas we stopped and had dinner at the Golden Coral. The other teens and I had all types of new food. Some teens had 3 and 4 plates of food not to mention all of the good ice cream.
Once we finished at the Golden Coral we loaded up on the bus and continue to make our way to Dallas, Texas.

On the bus we have rules that help us manage our behavior. If you swear, say “shut-up”, use the “n” word or your pants are sagging, you have to pay a dollar. I use shut-up often. But, the tour is helping me work on it. So far, I have slipped about 3 or 4 times. Some of us are mad when we had to pay. But, it is helping us learn the importance of being respectful.

Once we arrive in Dallas Texas, we will put our things away. We have a meeting every night to recap what we have learned for the day.
